2020-07-12 Virtual Fixit Clinic from Boulder

We saw:

-From Melbourne Victoria Australia: Sewing machine St. James Rhythm 2010 or earlier Doesn't rotate, seems jammed Opened the pulley (hand wheel), lifted and looked inside. -From Toronto Ontario Canada: AM/FM/Cassette player/CD changer JVC MX-C33 2010 or earlier CD tray will not open when the eject button is pressed CD player module needs to be removed to troubleshoot problem. To do that, the front cover needs to be removed. To be able to do that (based on the service manual instructions) the CD tray has to be extended by pressing the eject button.  Since the problem is that the eject button will not extend the CD tray, it seems to be a catch-22 situation. Looking for help to mechanically unlatch and extend the CD tray. https://youtu.be/-zNXk9UrHFg?t=1599

-From El Cerrito California US: Dishwasher Bosch SHE44C02UC 2010 or earlier Won't drain the last bit of water; on/off power button not working cleaned fine and large filters, reset breaker, Called Bosch; they said call authorized repair service. Authorized repair co  says can't come until at least sometime in July. I cannot pull it out from under the counter by myself. https://youtu.be/-zNXk9UrHFg?t=1740

12:11:21 From Stuart Ward : Yes I have seen these. There is a pin track system for the tray, and the pin gets disloged from its track. Need to dissasemble, and ping the pin back into the track.
